Wisdom Matters (Day 30)

Sometimes, we attempt to control the future with our myriad of plans and expectations. A lot of our anxieties get flared up when we are not able to control how things turn out.

Listen to today’s Truth…

Plans can fail, but God’s purposes remain.

Read the following Scripture…

Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

Consider these thoughts…

Nothing is more vexing than when plans do not work out, when expectations for your life are not met.
When you don’t graduate on time…
When you don’t marry at the ideal age…
When your career isn’t taking off as expected…
Today’s proverb encourages us with the assurance that God’s purposes will prevail, whether your plans work out or not. He is the one in charge.

Apply the truth! The following are optional things to do…

  • Surrender your future to the Lord through prayer.
  • Choose peace whenever you feel anxious about your life.

  • For wisdom to follow His leading in your life.
  • For surrender over all aspects of your future.
