Offense is a deadly part of our culture. Politics, entertainment, and even education have begun to yield to the angry demands of people’s offenses.
Listen to today’s Truth…
Choose to bypass the temptation for offense.
Read the following Scripture…
Proverbs 19:11 says, “A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.”
Consider these thoughts…
These days, anyone can be offended by anything.
Every religion. Every ethnicity. Every gender. Every age group.
We can talk in circles about who is entitled to the loudest voice. However, all it amounts to is a heightened culture of fear and silence.
As Christians, it is to our glory to allow the Spirit of God to dictate how we feel and how we react.
Apply the truth! The following are optional things to do…
Bless anyone who offends you today.
If someone antagonizes you, react with the holy opposite. Speak kindly. Give extravagantly. Love loudly.
To be set apart in this generation.
For a spirit of love in your workplace, your church, and in your home.
