A life filled with adversaries is a common thing. More than how you deal with these adversaries, it’s how you handle yourself before God that matters more!
Listen to today’s Truth…
Let the Lord fight for you.
Read the following Scripture…
Proverbs 16:7 says, “When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way, He causes their enemies to make peace with them.”
Consider these thoughts…
You cannot control how your enemies think of you. Even if you do the right thing to love them and demonstrate grace, you may not be able to sway them into reconciliation. Sometimes, Christians experience guilt over the inability to make things right with certain people in their lives.
However, the goal of your Christian walk is not really to please your enemies. It is to please the Lord.
Today’s Scripture encourages us to do just that. Do right before God, and allow Him to take care of the results.
Apply the truth! The following are optional things to do…
-
How does the Lord want you to deal with the adversaries in your life? Apply!
-
Allow yourself grace while dealing with difficult coworkers and family members.
Pray…
-
To be able to love like Christ to even the most difficult of people.
-
For a merciful heart.
