Wisdom Matters (Day 16)

A significant poison to a faithful walk with the Lord is comparison. Oftentimes, a Christian can lose the way of righteousness because he/she is trying to be like those of the world.

Listen to today’s Truth…

Walking along the narrow path will always be worth it.

Read the following Scripture…

Proverbs 10:28 “The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.”

Consider these thoughts…

It’s easy to envy those that live however they want. From the outside, it sometimes looks like they live a carefree, successful life.
Brothers and Sisters, God has supernatural joy for you today. All of earth’s pleasures are merely an imitation of heavenly pleasures. God is the creator of joy. He is the originator of fun and excitement. The enemy can only mimic the things of God.
Once, we had a gathering where the Spirit of God began to touch all of the worshippers in the room. We were just drenched with His love! One of the sisters in the room spoke up after our time of worship, and she confessed that had a past of significant drug use. However, she also said that her encounter with the Holy Spirit far surpassed any of the pleasures she experienced while being a drug user.
The enemy can only attempt to imitate the things of God, but he can never rival what God can give!

Apply the truth! The following are optional things to do…

  • What does enjoying your walk with the Lord look like for you? Take the day to explore this idea.
  • Choose joy today. Yes, it can be a choice!
  • Write out a list of all the ways you are grateful today.

  • For a joyful walk in the Lord.
  • For the strength for a righteous life.
  • For wisdom on how to live well for the rest of your days.
