Wisdom Matters (Day 7)

Fear is such a prevalent part of our society. Unfortunately, many people are more driven by fear than conviction.
Listen to today’s truth…
Those that value wisdom from God have no reason to fear.
Read the following scripture…
Proverbs 3:21-26 “My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgement and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep with be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.”
Consider these thoughts…
Sometimes, when we try to do things our way, it is because we are trying to protect our own interests. Whenever you make your own choices, independent of God’s wisdom, it is because there is this inherent belief that you know better for yourself.
Yet, whenever our lives are in our own hands, there will always be a reason to fear. In today’s proverb, God is giving us a way out of that life of fear. That way is obedience.
Obey His ways. Abide in His truths. Value the God-given wisdom that you read of in the Bible. This is your protection, because only God knows all.
Apply the truth! The following are optional things to do…
•
Start the day off asking God to lead you, to provide for you the better ways to do all things throughout the day.
•
Make a choice to not partner with fear today. Instead, partner with God.
•
Fill the day with thanksgiving! Yes, thanksgiving will keep your eyes on what God is doing, instead of what the enemy is doing.
Pray…
•
That you will constantly surrendered to His wisdom.
•
For a courage and boldness that can only come from the Spirit.
